Bull Race (Kerapan Sapi)

The festivals in Indonesia is varied and colorful. These festivals attract many tourists from all over the world. Keeping in line with the diversity of religion and caste in Indonesia, festivals and events are equally varied and colorful and inviting the participation of the local level. The Kerapan SAPI (Bull Race) is one of the major events here.

The Kerapan SAPI (Bull Race) is an annual event that attracts visitors and enthusiasts from various parts of Indonesia and the rest of the world. The Kerapan SAPI (Bull Race) is held in Madura Iceland. These breeds bulls are very singular to Madura Iceland. The Kerapan SAPI (Bull Race) was born out of the habit of cart racing team and compete against each other across the barren fields. He was an athlete of love an early Sumenep king, a city on the island. The Kerapan SAPI (Bull Race) is now held from August to October. The festival offers a golden opportunity for local people to launch overgenerous festivals follow the races. Bull-breeds eventually end up in the grand finale held in Pamekasan, the capital. Before the race starts bulls are paraded through the city, decorated with flowers, ribbons and gold halters. It is really a beautiful sight to see different bulls dressed in a colorful and scroll down the road. Although Gamelan musicians divertimento bulls they are fed arrack (a powerful Southeast Asia rice-wine, spirits). This is done to excite the bulls race. Only then will be free to load on the track, or the public, which sometimes occurs. The race does not take much time than bulls man break the record through 100 meters in distance in just nine seconds. The Kerapan SAPI (Bull Race) will start from 9 am this year.

The Kerapan SAPI (Bull course) is filled with enthusiasm and pleasure. You will certainly enjoy every moment of the race.

Pamekasan is rich with its art and culture. Bull race is a reliable tourism, which brings many foreign and domestic tourists. It’s held in September until the beginning of November, finally at Madura Governor assistant level fighting for President Cup. Also it’s interspersed with cow race “Sonok”, which is preceded by Pecot Dance.

Sumenep Tourism

Sumenep is listed in the eastern end of Madura Island. It takes more than four hours toget to Sumenep by bus or taxi from Surabaya’s harbour of Tanjung Perak.

Sumenep has some interesting sites to visit. Besides historical sites like Kraton and Tiny Museum, Traditional Art and Cultural Attractions as Mask Dance and Bull Race, it also has beautiful beaches like Lombang beach and Slopeng beach to see.

Pamekasan Tourism

Pamekasan regency is located between the Sampang regency (south) and Sumenep regency (east). Considering that, on the north side is limited to the Java Sea and south-side of the Strait Madurese. Pamekasan Madurese east’s capital is only 33 km east of Sampang. Handmade Batik of thisregency has its own planning between Madurese batik. Take a visit to the village Proposal to see the batik-making. Nature of resources is less than 600 metres from the main road Sampang-Pamekasan.

Both estimated that the exploitation of natural resources are economically very promising, we need to be developed, among other things: Plantation, agriculture, livestock, marine and fisheries, industry, mining, of Culture and Tourism Potentials.
